Oxford Pharmacy Store (OPS) - NHS Partnerships

Oxford Pharmacy Store works in collaboration with a number of NHS trusts, NHS Pharmacy Manufacturing Units (PMUs) and healthcare partners across the UK to strengthen access to medicines, unlicensed specials, ready-to-administer products and responsive supply chain. OPS proud to be their outsourced distributor in supply of their unlicensed medicine product ranges.

These partnerships play a pivotal role in ensuring the NHS a cost effective, informed and continual supply of unlicensed medicines with the aim of supporting the wider objectives of the NHS by improving clinical governance around unlicensed medicines.

Built with NHS Understanding

As an NHS-owned specialist pharmaceutical wholesaler, OPS understands the pressures facing NHS pharmacy, procurement and clinical teams. We work with NHS partners to support practical, reliable and quality-focused medicine supply across secondary care.

Supporting NHS Trusts and Hospital Pharmacy Teams

OPS supports NHS trusts and hospital pharmacy teams with access to prescription medicines, specialist products, unlicensed specials and hard-to-source medicines. Our team provides responsive support around product availability, lead times, ordering routes and supply requirements.

Working with NHS Pharmacy Manufacturing Units

OPS works closely with NHS Pharmacy Manufacturing Units to support access to specialist medicines and unlicensed specials. These partnerships help strengthen supply options for NHS organisations and wider healthcare providers across the UK.

Supporting Aseptic and Ready-to-Administer Supply

OPS supports access to selected ready-to-administer and aseptic products where available, helping NHS partners make better use of available supply routes and support local pharmacy capacity where needed.

Helping NHS Teams Manage Supply Challenges

Medicine supply challenges can create real pressure for NHS pharmacy and procurement teams. OPS works with suppliers, NHS partners and internal teams to monitor availability, communicate lead times and support alternative supply routes where appropriate.

Quality-Led Distribution and Support

OPS supports ambient and temperature-controlled medicine distribution, including refrigerated products where required. Our approach is shaped around product quality, compliance, traceability and patient safety.
